Central Jakarta Museums will Reopen to Public Next Week

All museums spread over Central Jakarta area will be reopened next week following their temporary closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Central Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economic (Parekraf) Sub-agency Head Irwan Septinadi said those museums in question were Taman Prasasti Museum, Kebangkitan Nasional Museum, Sumpah Pemuda Museum.

"Then National Museum, Perumusan Naskah Proklamasi Museum, Joang 45 Museum, AH Nasution Museum, Mohammad Hoesni Thamrin Museum, Jendral Ahmad Yani Museum and Adam Malik Museum," he expressed, Friday (8/21).

After effectively operating, he explained, they should implement health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19, such as limiting visitor capacity to 50 percent, regulating visitor entrances and exits, providing hand washing stations, using thermal scanners and mandating the use of masks.

"We also limit operating hours from 9 AM to 3 PM. All visitors must apply health protocols," he stated.
